NTSC:
Stands forNational Television System Committee, and is the analog television system.The first NTSC standard was developed in 1941 and had no provision for color TV.
PAL:
is short for Phase Alternating Line, it is an analogue television encoding system used in broadcast television systems in large parts of the world.
SECAM:
stands for Sequential Color with Memory it is is an analog color television system first used in France. It was the first european colour television standard.
HDTV:
High-Definition Television is also known as HDTV it is a digital television broadcasting system with higher resolution than traditional television systems.
MONO:
Monaural or monophonic sound reproduction is single-channel. Typically there is only one microphone one loudspeaker. channels are fed from a common signal path. In the case of multiple microphones the paths are mixed into a single signal path at some stage.
STEREO:
Stereophonic sound, commonly called stereo is the reproduction of sound using two or more independent audio channels through a number of loudspeakers to create the impression of sound heard from various directions.
SURROUND SOUND:
Surround sound is a range of techniques for enriching the sound quality of an audio source with audio channels reproduced by added, discrete speakers. making it sound as if you are surrounded by sound.
